11. An Asian Snake Can Steal Poison From Toads:
This is a trick of the asian snake Rhabdophis tigrina which is a widely hunted animal by many predators so developing a way to increase its chances of survival led it to consuming the toad to absorb it’s toxins. The snake then is able to hold on to the poison in its glands, rendering it too dangerous for another animal to eat. Pretty smart, right? They are the first species known to do this as a lifestyle choice for a survival of the fittest type of mechanism.
